Built in the early noughties, this is a purpose-construct in an appealing location close to the river and the town centre. Hopefully the local authority will take pride in this modern multi-purpose edifice and keep it open for all. There is an extensive range of books, CD's, DVD's and access to many multi-media facilities. There are also rooms to let for public functions as well as a mine of information about the area eg. What to see, where to go etc. Great local facility.

Good library, clean, quiet, plenty of choice and helpful staff but car park is at the opposite end of the building to the car park so you have to lug your books all the way round to the front door, I often wonder why the front door doesn't open into the car park, would be much easier
